Job summary

West Herts College Group is seeking an experienced hourly-paid English lecturer to join our dedicated English team. You will deliver and develop Stepping Stones and GCSE English, ensuring high-quality lessons across multiple campuses (Watford, Hemel Hempstead and Luton) from January 2027.

You will support vocational staff in embedding English, contribute to the quality process with innovative schemes of work and learning plans, and adapt delivery to learners at varying levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching English at GCSE level.
• Ability to develop and deliver Schemes of Work.
• Experience supporting vocational staff to embed English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Stepping Stones and GCSE English.
• Prepare lesson plans and ILPs.
• Contribute to quality processes with evidence of innovation.
