Job summary
The Newman in London’s Fitzrovia is seeking a hands-on Shift Engineer to help keep our luxury boutique hotel running safely and efficiently. You’ll handle planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, ensuring guest comfort and high service standards.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you’ll work a 12-hour shift pattern (7:00am-7:00pm and 10:00am-10:00pm) including weekends, with opportunities for career development and access to exclusive staff
Qualifications
- 2–3 years' experience in hotel engineering or facilities management.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, guest-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across hotel building systems.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, lighting, drainage.
- Respond to maintenance requests to minimise disruption to guests.
