Job summary

The Address Collective in Glasgow, United Kingdom, is seeking a hotel housekeeper to maintain 4* standards across bedrooms, public areas and linen. You will ensure rooms pass inspection, manage inventory, and deliver courteous guest service.

Responsibilities include cleaning to approved standards, linen changes, reporting maintenance issues, and adhering to health and safety policies. A rostered schedule and professional appearance are required.

Responsibilities

• To ensure assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas are cleaned to the standards, using only approved chemicals/cleaning materials and equipment and to ensure stocks of bathroom and bedroom items are replenished to correct standards.
• To ensure bed linen and towels are changed to the agreed schedule and standard laid down for your hotel.
• Maintain tidy, clean and stocked accommodation trolley, caddies and storage presses.
• Report any guest property left behind to the Accommodation Manager.
• Alert Accommodation Manager to needs of staff regarding materials or equipment.
• Maximize use of resources and maintain low cost levels.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor/manager promptly.
• Liaise with supervisor regarding room moves, VIP guests, and special needs.
• Inform supervisor of room status on an ongoing basis after checks.
• Participate in training and meetings to improve standards and performance.
• Carry out the hotel’s customer relation policy and communicate hotel services to guests.
• Receive customer complaints courteously and report to manager.
• Arrive for duty in full clean uniform with name badge.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
• Report DND or No Service daily.
• Keep corridors free from debris at all times.
• Be responsible for key cards in your possession.
• Report all accidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Comply with Fire, Security Health and Safety Procedures.
