Job summary

The Address Glasgow is seeking a dedicated hotel housekeeping operative to maintain high cleanliness standards across bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas, ensuring linen is changed as required and guest properties are handled appropriately.

You will work on-site in Glasgow, follow the hotel’s safety and grooming policies, and cooperate with the Accommodation Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Compensation is to be discussed.

Qualifications

• To ensure assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas are cleaned to the standards, using only approved chemicals/cleaning materials and equipment and to ensure stocks of bathroom and bedroom items are replenished to correct standards.
• To ensure bed linen and towels are changed to the agreed schedule and standard laid down for your hotel.
• Maintain tidy, cleaned and stocked accommodation trolley, caddies and storage presses.
• Pass guest property left behind to Accommodation Manager for lost property.
• Alert Accommodation Manager to the needs of accommodation staff (materials or equipment).
• Maximise the use of all resources and ensure the lowest cost levels.
• Report maintenance issues to the supervisor/manager promptly.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, bathrooms, corridors and public areas to the hotel’s standards using approved chemicals.
• Change bed linen and towels according to the scheduled standard.
• Keep trolleys, caddies and storage presses tidy and stocked.
• Pass guest property left behind to the Accommodation Manager.
• Report maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Liaise with supervisor regarding room moves, VIP guests and special needs.
• Inform supervisor of room status on an ongoing basis after checks.
• Participate in training, meetings and exercises to improve standards.
