Qualifications

Proven experience as a Painter/Decorator & PPM Engineer, preferably in a hotel or similar commercial property.
Valid painting and decorating qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials and safety standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position, ideally in a 5-star hotel.

Responsibilities

Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and in-room items.
Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, doors, windows, and furniture.
Carry out decorative work such as wallpapering and texture, and maintain painted surfaces.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
Collaborate with hotel management to minimize guest disruption during maintenance.
Ensure all work meets high quality and safety standards.
