Job summary

Hand Picked Hotels Ltd’s Buxted Park Hotel in Buxted, East Sussex is seeking a friendly Hotel Porter. You will welcome guests, assist with arrivals and departures, and help with luggage while offering local recommendations and keeping service standards high.

What will the role involve?

As a Porter, you’ll be one of the first friendly faces our guests meet. You’ll welcome and engage with guests throughout their stay, offering personalised service and thoughtful recommendations that showcase your knowledge of the hotel and local area.

You’ll assist with arrivals and departures, carrying luggage and guest orientation, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience from the moment they step through the door. Strong teamwork and clear communication with all departments are essential, helping deliver seamless service and awareness of daily activities.

This is a full-time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business.

• You will have previous experience working in Front office in a luxury four or five star hotel.

• Local knowledge of the surrounding area and places of interest would be advantageous.
