About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the Executive Office, the Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations for the hotel and residences.

As a Hotel Manager at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Formulation and implementation of strategy related to the hotel’s daily operational needs ensuring consistent guest services, colleague productivity, and safety while constantly striving for improvement.
  • Execution of all operational and strategic initiatives, providing feedback and alternatives.
  • Development of lower and middle management executives through coaching, mentoring and general communications.
  • To keep abreast of newest trends and innovations in the marketplace and be aware of competitors.
  • Oversee operational departments including F&B, Rooms and Spa.
  • Work with Director of Food & Beverage to ensure the profitability, efficiency and creativity in each Food and Beverage outlet.
  • Ensure alignment with Sales & Marketing to increase exposure and coverage in various local and international media.
  • To ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance to standards and procedures manual and the Legendary Quality Experience (LQE).
  • To prepare, review and manage annual Budgets and CAPEX plans; analyse P&L and assist in implementing strategies to increase overall revenue maximisation.
  • Accurately forecast financial performance.
  • To ensure there is a continuous focus and drive on all Quality assessments. In particular supporting local LQE initiatives.
  • To grow and improve our sustainability, as measured by the FLHSSE.
  • To ensure that guests and colleagues are in a consistently safe and secure environment.
  • Ensure alignments with the financial objectives and forecasts.
  • Oversee the strategic direction of general projects related to the enhancement of the hotel. The project management covers the areas of planning, administration, implementation and evaluation of financial results of project.
