Job summary

Novotel Leeds Centre is seeking a full-time Maintenance Team Member to join our hotel team within the Accor network. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to guest requests, and carry out basic repairs across the property. We value hands-on, practical go-getters with good communication and teamwork skills.

Previous hotel maintenance experience is advantageous, and a positive attitude is essential. Shift patterns run 7:00am-5:30pm with flexibility.

• Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and regular safety checks across the hotel.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues in a timely and professional manner.
• Undertake general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical work, painting, decorating, carpentry, and repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections of hotel areas, equipment, appliances, and systems.
• Troubleshoot faults and carry out appropriate basic repairs where required.
• Follow hotel security, fire safety, and Health and Safety procedures at all times.
• Assist guests with enquiries regarding the hotel’s facilities in an informative, professional, and helpful manner.
