Job summary

leaf HOSPITALITY is seeking a practical Maintenance Operative to keep our Lincoln hotel safe, well-maintained and welcoming for guests and team members. This hands-on role involves daily maintenance, repairs and upkeep across the property.

You will support the Maintenance Lead, carry out planned works, respond to requests, ensure safety and help create a secure guest environment. Previous hotel maintenance experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance, facilities or trade-related roles.
• Good practical skills and knowledge of general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across the hotel.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with upkeep and presentation of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Support the Maintenance Lead and Property Manager in maintaining a safe and compliant environment.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance issues.
• Carry out minor repairs, decorating and general maintenance tasks.
• Assist contractors and suppliers when required.
• Maintain maintenance records and complete documentation accurately.
• Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are kept safe and organised.
