Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK is seeking a Maintenance Assistant/Handyman at the Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick to keep facilities in safe, working order and to support guest needs.

The role involves repairs, following the engineer's daily task list, and performing maintenance requests including plumbing, lighting, and minor electrical tasks, plus regular PM work and site cleanliness. Flexibility and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance tasks within a hotel or similar facility.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical work.
• Strong focus on health and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair services and equipment within the Hotel and grounds
• Follow daily task list issued by Chief Engineer or Senior Shift Engineer
• Carry out maintenance requests (e.g., plumbing tasks, changing light bulbs, minor electricals)
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance in all hotel areas
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests in public areas or bedrooms
• Care for and keep clean the Hotel engineering areas (workshop, plantrooms)
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and fire regulations
