Job summary

The Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill–Dudley is seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to lead a busy maintenance team in a single-site hotel. You will coordinate reactive and preventative work, ensure safe operations, and drive upkeep of hotel facilities, while liaising with other departments to deliver high service standards.

Qualified electricians and/or plumbers are preferred, with strong leadership, communication skills, and a flexible approach to out-of-hours work to meet hotel needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician and/or plumber with relevant trade qualifications.
• Experience leading maintenance in a single-site hotel or similar property.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Plan reactive and preventative maintenance schedules; ensure daily utility readings are completed.
• Ensure safety compliance and adherence to statutory and company health and safety regulations, incl. fire procedures and waste disposal.
• Maintain hotel areas to minimise wear and coordinate decorating/refurbishment works.
• Communicate effectively with other departments; manage the busy maintenance department and on-call rota.
