Job summary

Whitbread's Premier Inn in Ulverston is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, cook and serve meals that guests enjoy during their stay. This permanent, part-time role offers 16 hours per week with shifts including evenings and weekends.

You'll work with the hotel team to receive deliveries, keep stock, plate meals, and ensure the kitchen stays clean and ready for service. No hotel experience is required; willingness to learn is valued.

Qualifications

You'll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone's stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you'll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent - we don't do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 16 contracted hours per week.

Location: Lonsdale Terrace, Ulverston, LA12 9AU

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You'll Do

As a Kitchen Team Member you'll help make sure every guest gets a meal they'll enjoy. You'll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organized and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you'll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You'll be part of a team that's working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you're willing to learn, we'll teach you the rest.

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.
