Job summary

Whitbread Premier Inn Plymouth Derriford is hiring a Kitchen Team Member for 18 hours per week. You’ll prepare ingredients, cook and plate meals, keep the kitchen tidy, receive deliveries and work with the hotel team to ensure smooth service.

This is a permanent role with guaranteed hours. No hotel experience required—training provided, with evenings and weekends shifts; opportunities to progress within Premier Inn.

Kitchen Team Member – Premier Inn

We're currently recruiting in our Premier Inn Plymouth Derriford. Working 18 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 18 contracted hours per week.

Location: Premier Inn Plymouth Derriford International Business Park, 1 William Prance Road, PL6 5ZD

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.
