Job summary

Whitbread's Premier Inn in Torquay Harbour is hiring a Kitchen Team Member on a fixed-term contract of 25 hours per week, with pay up to £13.06 per hour.

You'll prepare, cook and serve meals for guests, including breakfasts and dinner service, and help with deliveries, stock, and keeping the kitchen tidy during busy periods.

We're currently recruiting in our Torquay Harbour Premier Inn. Working 25 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Kitchen Team Member – Premier Inn

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 01/11/2026 – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 25 contracted hours per week.

Location: Torquay Harbour Premier Inn, The Terrace, Torquay TQ1 1DD

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare ingredients before service starts

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You Might Have Worked As a

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
