Job summary

Whitbread's Premier Inn Birkenhead Town Centre is looking for a Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, cook and serve meals for guests. You’ll work on breakfast and dinner shifts, contributing to guest satisfaction and kitchen efficiency.

This is a part-time, fixed-term role with 16.5 contracted hours per week in Birkenhead, paying up to £13.06 per hour. Training and team support are provided to help you grow in hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or food service experience not required.
• Willing to learn and work as part of a team.
• Reliable, enjoys busy environments and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients before service starts.
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service.
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be.
• Work closely with the hotel team to ensure smooth service.

we're currently recruiting in our Birkenhead Town Centre location. Working 16.5 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Kitchen Team Member – Birkenhead Town Centre Premier Inn

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

If you enjoy working as part of a team and seeing the results of your work straight away, this could be the role for you.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until January 2027– we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 16.5 contracted hours per week.

Location: Conway St, Birkenhead, CH41 5AP

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.
