Whitbread's Barnstaple Premier Inn is hiring a Kitchen Team Member in Barnstaple. This role offers 16 contracted hours per week, with pay up to £13.06 per hour and a permanent contract.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that guests rely on, from breakfast prep to busy dinner service, working as part of a team to deliver great dining experiences.

We're currently recruiting in our Barnstaple Premier Inn. Working 16 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Kitchen Team Member – Barnstaple Premier Inn

This Isn’t Just About Cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better. One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service. If you enjoy working as part of a team and seeing the results of your work straight away, this could be the role for you.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 16 contracted hours per week.

Location: Eastern Avenue, Whiddon Valley, Barnstaple, North Devon, EX32 8RY

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare ingredients before service starts

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs. If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You Might Have Worked As a

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
