Job summary

Premier Inn Abingdon is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to run the kitchen daily, manage rotas, place orders and guide the team through busy services while keeping the area audit-ready.

You'll work closely with the Hotel Manager to own food quality, hygiene and cost control, and you'll develop your team to prepare and serve menu items to spec, supporting a clear path to Head Chef.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in hospitality.
• Ability to manage rotas, orders and stock levels.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and audits.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and keeping food costs on track for the hotel.
• Take the lead during service – organise the team, manage workflow, ensure smooth operations.

• Step up by running shifts and helping new team members settle in.
• Learn kitchen management to prepare for more senior roles.

Kitchen Team Leader – Abingdon (A34) – Premier Inn

Join our team at Premier Inn Abingdon (A34) as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You’ll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene. It’s a hands‑on leadership role that’s perfect for anyone ready to build the skills to become a Head Chef.

PAY RATE:

Up to £14.31 per hour

HOURS:

30 hours per week
