Job summary

Andras Hotels, owner of Crowne Plaza, seeks a Gardener/Handyperson to maintain our hotel grounds and outdoor spaces. You will care for lawns, borders, trees, and plant beds while ensuring high presentation standards for guests.

You will work 40 hours per week, perform minor repairs, and support overall site maintenance. The role combines horticulture with practical handy-person duties in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in this type of role.
• Practical knowledge of plants.
• Experience of using general gardening machinery.
• Skills in gardening and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently.
• High standards of Attention to Detail.
• Strong Time Management skills and flexible with regards to working hours.
• Ability to communicate and follow instruction.
• Must have a clear understanding of speaking and understanding English.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of all aspects of the gardening.
• Keep grounds clean, free of garbage and debris.
• Keep loading dock clean, free of garbage and debris.
• Mow and cut the grass and lawns.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubbery, etc.
• Maintain boundaries, hedges, borders and plant cultivation.
• Prune trees, shrubs and hedges.
• Regularly inspect any garden structures and undertake minor repairs or advise the maintenance manager.
• General garden carpentry such as assembling and maintain of furniture, replacing handles and similar hardware.
• General minor painting and decorating of garden appearance.
• Report major repairs and items, which cannot be repaired to the maintenance manager for further action.
