Job summary

The Malone Hotel in Belfast, part of the Macklin Group family, seeks an experienced Senior Accountant / Finance Manager to lead the hotel’s finance function. You will own budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and reporting, while challenging commercial decisions to optimise profitability and cash flow.

You will collaborate closely with the General Manager and department heads to monitor KPI performance and ensure strong financial controls across the operation.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification or significant progress towards qualification.
• Experience in a senior finance role with responsibility for management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance function for Malone Hotel and provide timely monthly management accounts.
• Provide financial commentary and analysis to support decision-making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the hotel.
• Develop financial models and KPIs to monitor revenue, costs and profitability.
• Partner with General Manager and department heads to drive commercial performance.
• Ensure robust controls over cash flow, payables and receivables and assist with year-end audit.
