Job summary

The Eliott in Gibraltar is seeking a Maintenance Operative to care for guest suites, meeting spaces, the restaurant and bar, and all common areas. You will perform planned, reactive and preventative maintenance to keep facilities safe, efficient and guest-ready at all times.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, fire drill execution, guest request responses and energy-management initiatives. The role requires flexible team support and basic computer literacy in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Hospitality maintenance experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of electrical work and safe use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest suites, meeting spaces, restaurant, bar and common areas.
• Perform planned, reactive and preventative maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and tiling.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Health & Safety protocols; conduct fire drills.
• Respond to guest and team maintenance requests with high-quality service.
• Identify energy-saving opportunities and support sustainability goals.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly checklists and assist other departments during peak times.
