Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Hot Tub Assistant for Mill Rythe Coastal Village, Hayling Island. You will keep guest hot tubs in excellent condition, drain and refill on changeover days, and daily test water chemistry while maintaining a clean surrounding area for guests.

The role requires a friendly, proactive attitude, sharp attention to detail, and a willingness to help guests at every turn. Bank holidays are included in the schedule.

Qualifications

• We’ll provide training, but you must remain approachable and ready to learn.
• Maintain a positive, guest-friendly attitude while handling spa duties.
• Be able to troubleshoot and resolve standard hot tub issues.
• Demonstrate openness to taking on additional tasks as needed.
• Previous hot tub maintenance experience is a bonus but not required.
• Team players who put guests first and help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Look after all hot tubs on site and ensure they are working correctly.
• Drain and fill on changeover days and test chemicals daily.
• Keep the hot tub area and surrounding space sparkling for guests.
• Support other duties when required and work through holidays and bank holiday periods.

What we need in a nutshell

Some of our fabulous holiday homes come complete with luxury hot tubs. We need a Hot tub Assistant to keep those hot tubs in tip top condition for our guests.

OurMill RytheCoastal Village is set on a peaceful estuary and has undergone a stunning £10m refurbishment. We have our beautiful cocktail bar, The Missing Squirrel, as well as our incredible new restaurant The Green Room.

We need you to be our friendly hot tub hero, who delivers delight by making sure that our guests’ hot tubs are working, ready and waiting whenever they feel like taking a dip.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of holiday heroes, you will be helping to look after all our hot tubs on site. You’ll make sure they are working properly, drain and fill them on changeover days and test them every day, adjusting the chemicals as required.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the Hot Tub & Outside area are sparkling clean for our guests.

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. As long as you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job’, you’re our sort of person.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

We’ll provide training, but you must:

• Have a friendly and helpful attitude - delightful when you meet guests and good at communicating within your team.
• Attention to detail and thorough
• Excellent attitude to troubleshooting when problems arise
• Be open and willing to learn new skills
• Any previous experience of hot tub maintenance would be a bonus
• Be willing to turn your hand to anything – guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs and ready to help.
