Hostel Cleaners Needed (Must have Enhanced DBS)

The Hostel Cleansing Operative will be responsible for providing high-quality cleaning services in flats and communal areas in hostels across the city, accommodating vulnerable families and individuals with complex needs.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Provide high-quality cleaning services and take full responsibility for specific tasks in communal areas and flats within hostels.
• Follow all cleaning procedures.
• Support health and safety policies and safe working practices.
• Risk assess areas and tasks to ensure a safe environment for staff and the public.
• Identify repairs and report the condition of flats and communal areas.
• Liaise daily with building staff and hostel supervisors, reporting operational issues including anti-social behavior or tenancy concerns.
• Provide clear written reports to support operational and management needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service and work quality.
• Communicate effectively with customers and other service areas as needed.
• Undertake training to achieve BICSc standards.
• Take reasonable care of health and safety for yourself and others, complying with legislation.
• Work from various locations as required, in addition to the base location.

Location: Cardiff

Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
