The Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder is seeking a warm, confident Host to join the Century Bar team. You will work 39 hours per week across 5 days from 11:00 to 19:30, delivering a memorable welcome to guests and ensuring smooth reservations and table allocations.

Salary includes a base of £27,114 plus an estimated £8,300 in gratuities and service charges, with a total on‑target earning potential of £35,414 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm and memorable welcome to the Century Bar for all guests.
• Manage host reservations and forward‑plan table allocations daily.
• Support guest service to ensure smooth operations and high standards.
• Know menu offerings and estate facilities to advise guests accordingly.
• Highlight VIPs and dietary requirements to the team each day.
• Handle bar reservation inquiries across the resort.
• Upsell where appropriate and encourage colleagues to do the same.
• Maintain top service, room preparation and presentation in the Century Bar.
• Contribute ideas to improve quality of service and guest experience.

We are currently seeking a warm, confident and self-motivated Host to join our Century Bar team.

Your working pattern will be 39 hours per week, across 5 days from 11am until 7.30pm.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

• You’ll be delivering a warm and memorable welcome to the Century Bar for all our guests
• Proficient in host restaurant reservations and allowing for forward planning of table allocations on a daily basis; Maximising the usage of the bar seating and space available
• You’ll play a significant part in making sure our guests are well looked after and our service runs without a hitch
• Having excellent knowledge of menu offerings as well as the wider estate and facilities available to our guests, you’ll help recommend and advise on suggestions
• You’ll be responsible for highlighting to the team on a daily basis VIP guests and any specific dietary requirements
• Managing all enquiries relating to the bar reservations from throughout the resort
• You’ll be proficiently up selling and encouraging other team members to do the same at every opportunity
• Maintaining the highest standards of service, room preparation and presentation throughout our Century Bar
• You’ll take a keen interest in the operation and develop suggestions as to ways of increasing quality of service
• Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

• Having had experience within a luxury hospitality environment would be ideal, however having a great attitude is essential
