Job summary

Gymbox is hiring a part-time host to welcome members and guests across our London clubs. You will deliver friendly service, guide tours, keep areas tidy, and ensure a safe, energised atmosphere.

Shifts are Fri-Sun between 5:30 AM and 11:15 PM, 24 hours per week, at multiple locations including Bank, Elephant & Castle, Holborn, Farringdon, Old Street, Victoria, Westfield Stratford, Finsbury Park. Competitive hourly rate £12.96.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable ability to deliver excellent member service.
• Demonstrable commercial mindset and customer-oriented approach.
• Experience in hospitality or fitness-related environments is desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across weekends/evenings and multiple clubs.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and prospects in line with brand values.
• Deliver club tours and provide up-to-date information on products.
• Maintain cleanliness of member areas, gym floor, and vending machines.
• Stock towel area, vending, and protein shake machines.
• Report maintenance or facilities improvements as needed.
• Minimise health and safety risks and follow escalation procedures.
• Update member/prospect details in relevant systems.
• Open/close clubs following checklists.

Job description

Salary: £12.96 per hour

Shifts:Available Friday to Sunday for all shifts between 5:30 AM and 11:15 PM

Hours per week:24 hours

As a host you will have the opportunity to create memorable experiences for every member and prospect by delivering exceptional customer service and leading dynamic, informative club tours.

You’ll play a key part in shaping the atmosphere of the club—keeping member areas clean, welcoming, and energising—while actively supporting a safe environment by spotting, reporting, and escalating any improvements to the clubs. You are a multi-tasker, handling various situations at once.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and potential prospects in line with brand values.
• Deliver exceptional club tours to potential prospects, based on their needs, providing up to date information about the various products available and following up where appropriate.
• Ensure top level member experience through maintaining the cleanliness of member areas, gym floor (regular walk arounds, clearing up weights etc) and vending machines.
• Stocking towel area, vending and protein shake machine.
• Proactively reporting maintenance or facilities improvements.
• Ensure any health and safety risks are minimised upon discovery/reporting and follow correct procedures to rectify escalating where required.
• Ensure members and prospects details are correctly updated within relevant systems.
• Safely and securely open the club and close the club following specified checklists.
• Support with marketing campaigns, and member administration (Service Calls, member support, payment & Debt support).
• This list is not exhaustive; you will be required from time to time to complete extra tasks within your skillset to support business need

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Demonstrable ability to deliver excellent member service
• Demonstrable commercial mindset and customer orientated
• Background in commercial economics, sports education, hospitality or similar relevance
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Stress resilience, ability to handle different situations at once, prioritising skills.
• Ability to use initiative and work as a team
• Availability for the minimum of 16 hours a week, for minimum a year.
• Demonstrable attention to detail
• Ability to work flexibly for business needs, hours can range across weekends and evenings
• Ability to work across multiple clubs

• Experience in the hospitality industry and/or fitness industry (desirable)
• Demonstrable commercial mindset
