Job summary

Care Concern Group Limited operates Kiwi House Care Home in Derby, a welcoming front-of-house dining host role. You will ensure warm, well organised mealtimes and a clean, safe dining area for residents and visitors.

The role requires strong customer service mindset, good communication and teamwork, with weekend work and shift hours of 8.30am-16.30pm. The employer emphasises compassionate, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day to day presentation and smooth running of dining areas.
• Support residents and visitors while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and service.
• From preparing the dining environment to serving refreshments and supporting mealtimes, your role will contribute to comfort, routine and overall wellbeing.
• Work closely with the kitchen and care teams to create a positive and inclusive environment.
• Alternate weekends and working 8.30am-16.30pm.

Job description

Kiwi House Care Home is a modern residential, dementia, respite and day care home in Alvaston, Derby. Overlooking Kiwi Park, with six beautifully designed care suites and excellent lifestyle facilities, we provide compassionate, person centred care that enables residents to live fulfilling lives.

Host Contract

• £12.85 per hour
• Contracted to 22.5-30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Host, you will play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming and well organised dining experience. This is a front facing role where your attention to detail and friendly approach will help ensure every mealtime feels enjoyable, relaxed and well managed.

You will oversee the day to day presentation and smooth running of dining areas, supporting residents and visitors while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and service. From preparing the dining environment to serving refreshments and supporting mealtimes, your role will contribute directly to comfort, routine and overall wellbeing.

Working closely with the kitchen and care teams, you will help create a positive and inclusive environment where individuals feel valued and supported.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends and working 8.30am-16.30pm.
