Job summary

Abbey Hotel Bath, part of the Marriott collection, is recruiting a Sales Manager to proactively generate new business and grow revenue from corporate, group, and event opportunities. You will build strong client relationships, work with internal teams to maximise occupancy and rates, and manage a personal sales pipeline with regular forecasting.

Ideal candidates will have hospitality sales experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strategic yet hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience within hospitality, hotels, or a customer-facing commercial role.
• Proven ability to proactively generate new business and build strong client relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
• Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Proactively source new corporate, group, and meeting & events business within the market.
• Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries promptly and convert opportunities into bookings.
• Actively manage a personal sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and agencies.
• Negotiate rates and contracts in line with pricing strategy.
• Collaborate with Revenue, Reservations, and Operations to maximise revenue.
