Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking an Experienced Hospitality Manager to join Furzewood Lodge in South Oxhey, Watford. You will oversee housekeeping, catering, activities and front‑of‑house teams, ensuring a five‑star service to residents and families.

You will lead training, set service standards and manage budgets while maintaining brand quality and CQC compliance in a newly developed care home environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Hospitality Management is required.
• NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within care, residential, hotel or hospitality environments.

Contract: Full Time – Perm

Hour: 37 hours per week

Pay: £44,489 per annum

Shift: 9am to 5pm

Exciting developments are underway at Pinewood Lodge, which will soon relocate to a brand-new, purpose-built care home in the South Oxhey. We are seeking an Experienced Hospitality Manager to join our Newly Developed Care Home Furzewood Lodge in South Oxhey,

As a Hospitality Manager, you will be the welcoming face of our Home, providing a professional and friendly service to residents, visitors, colleagues and Relatives.

What You’ll Bring

• NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Hospitality Management
• NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a care, residential, hotel or hospitality environment
• Experience managing teams, including training and setting service standards
• Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills and conflict resolution skills
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with a passion for high‑quality service delivery

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Team Management: Overseeing housekeeping, catering, activities, front of house (reception team) and maintenance staff. This includes

  • Supervision/performance management
  • Event planning and execution
  • Documentations
• Quality Standards: Maintaining high cleaning standard, ensuring quality dining experiences, activities, safety and room upkeep meet luxury and company brand standards while maintaining CQC (Care Quality Commission) compliance.
• Resident Experience: Acting as the primary liaison for residents and their families to ensure preferences are accommodated.
• Budget & Administration: Managing departmental budgets, stock take & inventory
• Auditing: Ensuring that staff carry out their duties appropriately, whilst promoting a positive and supportive working environment for all. Complete periodic audits, provide feedbacks, recommendations, and timelines for improvements
• Meeting: Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the team
• Standard: Ensuring that dining rooms are presented to the highest standard and the service provided is to a five-star standard whilst working closely with the chef and care team to achieve this.
