Job summary

Philema Hospitality is seeking an Interior Designer & Project Manager to lead refurbishment and development across our Cornwall and Devon properties.

You will translate concepts into delivered spaces that enhance guest experience while managing budgets, programmes and contractor coordination.

A degree in Interior Design and strong software skills are preferred, along with UK driving licence and hospitality project experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering hospitality interior projects.
• Strong project management from concept to completion.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative design concepts for guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, bars, spas and back-of-house spaces.
• Produce mood boards, design presentations and material specifications.
• Select furniture, fixtures, lighting, artwork, fabrics and finishes.
• Ensure designs align with brand identity while maintaining standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Lead refurbishment and capital projects from brief through to completion.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure stays within budgets.
• Schedule works to minimise disruption to guests and operations.
• Prepare project budgets and cost estimates.
