Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to provide a professional yet relaxed dining room atmosphere and efficient food service for residents and visitors. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will deliver meals from kitchen to dining areas, maintain hygiene standards, and support a flexible service model.

The role emphasizes caring, communication, teamwork, and adaptability to residents' needs, with opportunities for training and development and access to the company's

Qualifications

• Experience or ability to work in a catering service in a similar environment is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to serve residents and visitors.
• Ability to work in a team and individually, with flexible working patterns.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to dining areas and serve meals to residents.
• Maintain high hygiene standards; set up tables and tidy work areas.
• Ensure refreshments are available and provide a pleasant, friendly service.

About the Role

Reporting to the Care Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a professional but relaxed atmosphere in the dining room and will ensure that residents and visitors receive an efficient food service.

About You

Our ideal Hospitality Assistant will have the following skills and values:

• Experience of working in a catering service in a similar environment is desirable but not essential.
• Delivering prepared food from the kitchen to the dining areas and serving meals to residents in a pleasant and friendly manner.
• Ensure refreshment is always available
• Setting up tables, tidy work areas and preparing food areas for next service to ensure high standards of hygiene

Experience:

• Ideally some experience working in a busy restaurant/hospitality or catering
• Good communication and excellent customer service skills to be able to deliver a good service to our visitors and elderly residents
• Team player, self-motivated, proactive and flexible
