Job summary

Spencer Richardson in Scotland is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead multiple hospitality projects from feasibility through to handover.

You will manage £2m+ projects across Scotland, coordinating architects, designers and contractors, while keeping programmes, budgets and compliance on track. The role combines office time with site visits and requires strong stakeholder management and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering construction projects valued at £2m or more.
• Proven track record from feasibility to handover.
• Excellent knowledge of construction processes, procurement and regulations.
• Strong decision-making and contractor accountability.
• Strong commercial awareness and budget control.
• Ability to manage multiple high-pressure projects and changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive, organized and solutions-focused.
• Ability to travel throughout Scotland.
• Experience in hotels, hospitality, leisure or accommodation is beneficial.
• Formal qualification such as RICS, CIOB, PRINCE2 advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects from feasibility and design through to construction, handover and completion
• Overseeing multiple new-build, refurbishment and accommodation projects
• Preparing and managing project programmes, budgets and delivery schedules
• Leading procurement, tendering and contract administration
• Coordinating architects, design teams, consultants and contractors
• Chairing project meetings and carrying out site inspections
• Providing progress, budget and risk updates to Directors
• Resolving project challenges, delays and contractual disputes
• Ensuring compliance with planning, building regulations, licensing, health and safety, CDM and sustainability requirements
• Balancing creative design ambitions with commercial and operational priorities
• Promoting a collaborative, one-team approach across internal and external stakeholders
