2gether Support Solutions is recruiting a Ward Catering Assistant at QEQM Hospital, Margate. The role supports ward cleanliness, patient meals, and catering services across shifts (mornings/evenings). It forms part of the Facilities team delivering high-standard patient care within clinical areas.

Ideal candidates have customer service or catering exposure and strong communication skills. The position is permanent with 20 weekly hours across flexible shifts, enabling reliable patient-focused

Responsibilities

• Carry out housekeeping duties, cleaning, catering and patient services
• Respond promptly to patient requests and needs regarding catering and housekeeping services.
• Comply with the Trust infection and control policies, COSHH, Health and Safety and other statutory legislation
• Take patients’ meal orders, Prepare and distribute meals and beverages to patients according to dietary requirements.
• Clean and sanitise patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to high standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of catering equipment and utensils.
• Assist in managing food stock, including receiving deliveries and maintaining inventory.

2 gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.

The Role:

Ward Catering Ass istants are the lifeblood of the NHS and an integral part of the team, providing high levels of patient service, cleaning, and catering support within clinical areas. Previous customer service or catering experience would be an advantage.

You will provide essential support in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the hospital wards and delivering high-quality catering services to patients, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment.

This is a permanent position covering various shifts across both mornings and evenings.
