Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Security / Parking Team member to provide a comprehensive car park and security service across hospital and satellite sites. You will greet and assist the public, direct drivers to spaces and respond to security issues to ensure a safe environment.

The Trust is a large, well-led organisation serving 1.2 million people with a workforce of around 15,000 staff.

Qualifications

• Regular and ad-hoc patrols of hospital car parks must be conducted.
• Ability to work as a lone officer or in a team.
• Protect and maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular and ad-hoc patrols of hospital car parks inside and outside the grounds.
• Greet, assist and direct patients, visitors and staff in a courteous manner.
• Respond to security alerts via radio, pager or alarms and take appropriate action.
• Monitor CCTV and handle incident reporting with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Check pay and display machines and assist with cash handling as required.
• Lock/unlock buildings and ensure doors and barriers are secure.
