Job summary

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a Bank Porter/Security Driver in the Portering Department at Ayrshire Central Hospital. This bank role requires a UK driving licence and offers flexible hours, pro rata for part-time staff, with full training provided.

The role includes driving, meal/item delivery, security monitoring, mail coordination, and assisting with incidents of violence and aggression. Previous experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver meals and items across hospital premises.
• Provide security tasks: monitor CCTV, patrol, lock/unlock, issue keys.
• Assist with gritting, waste management, and transport of linen, specimens, stores, equipment.
• Coordinate internal and external mail and assist in incidents of violence and aggression.
