Job summary

Ramsay Woodland Hospital is seeking a Bank Porter to support clinical teams by maintaining a clean, safe environment and assisting with patient and staff needs. This is an on-site, as-needed role with full training provided for portering tasks.

The position requires good IT literacy, strong communication, accuracy and initiative, and a flexible attitude to work across a six-day rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• IT literacy and professional communication are required.
• English and Mathematics are essential.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial, training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for patients and staff.
• Assist clinical teams with tasks as part of portering duties.
• Handle waste removal, medical gas bottle changes and deliveries.
• Move patient trolleys and beds, and manage laundry deliveries.
• Perform varied manual handling tasks on a rota basis (Mon–Sat).
