Job description

We have a number of new Porter and Driver opportunities available due to the opening of the new Bristol Surgical Centre building on the Southmead Hospital site.

You will work as part of the operational team responsible for providing a comprehensive patient support service in the hospital environment. This will involve carrying out the following Facilities Management functions:

1. Movement of patients, consumable products, waste, furniture, medical equipment, gases, beds, mattresses, etc.
2. The cleaning of all Portering equipment, delivery of blood products, and responding to major incidents.

A full, clean, manual UK driving license is required for this role.

To provide a high-quality, responsive, efficient, and effective patient support service to wards and departments in North Bristol NHS Trust, acting in a caring and professional manner.

Job responsibilities

Physical Effort

Duties involve standing/walking for long periods and undertaking physically demanding tasks, such as moving cages weighing approximately 300kg when required.
