Join Our Team as a Hospital Porter / Driver at North Bristol NHS Trust

We are currently recruiting for Hospital Porter / Driver positions due to the opening of the new Bristol Surgical Centre at Southmead Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, consumables, waste, furniture, medical equipment, gases, beds, and mattresses within the hospital.
• Clean portering equipment, deliver blood products, and respond to major incidents.

Requirements

• A full, clean UK manual driving license.
• Ability to work in a busy, multi-faceted environment as part of a team.
• Good verbal communication skills, literacy, and numeracy skills.
• Experience in customer and patient support services or equivalent NVQ Level 2.

Additional Information

This role involves physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, and moving heavy cages. You must be sensitive to patients' needs and capable of handling distressing situations with professionalism. Flexibility in duties and schedules is essential.
