Nuffield Health is seeking a Bank Porter in the Manor Hospital Facilities team. The role covers waste management, security checks, basements access, patient transfers, and post handling in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Shifts are ad hoc and arranged around hospital needs and staff availability. The job is physically demanding and requires DBS clearance; training and pension access are provided, with holiday entitlement aligned to regulations.

• Manage clinical, domestic, recycling and special waste streams
• Carry out security checks at early opening, evening lockdown and ad hoc
• Control access to the basement car park

• Maintain the external environment, including the basement car park, to a high standard
• Move furniture, equipment and medical gases to departments
• Support the Head Porter and Facilities Manager in ensuring third-party facilities providers meet agreed service levels

Bank post for a general hospital porter in the Facilities team at Nuffield Health's Manor Hospital, filled ad hoc rather than on set hours. The work covers waste collection, security checks at opening and lockdown, control of the basement car park, moving patients between departments, handling internal and external post, and shifting furniture and medical gases. Shifts are set around the hospital's needs and the worker's availability, and the work is physically demanding. Candidates must agree to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
