Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a pharmacist for a permanent part-time position. The role covers cross-site dispensary duties at Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley Hospital.

You will work 22.5 hours over 3 days with some flexibility discussed with the recruiting manager. Core duties include using EMIS, Omnicell and Pharmacy Web Tracker, managing workloads, and supporting training and competency assessments across the pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Dispensing medicines within hospital pharmacy services.
• Plan and manage workload for pharmacy staff to ensure efficient service.
• Support staff development and competency processes.

Responsibilities

• Effectively use EMIS, Omnicell and Pharmacy Web Tracker systems.
• Carry out technical pharmaceutical duties including dispensing and distribution of medicines.
• Plan and manage own workload and that of pharmacy technicians and assistants.
• Involve in training and competency assessment of colleagues.
