Job summary

The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Pharmacy Stores Assistant based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital. The role is full time (37 hours 30 minutes per week) and focuses on delivering accurate medication supply and efficient ward deliveries.

You will work as part of the Pharmacy Stores team with extensive training, join a busy clinical environment, and have opportunities to develop across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Evidence of achievement at GCSE in Mathematics and English at Grade A*-E or equivalent experience.
• Level 2 Qualification in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient, accurate and high-quality pharmaceutical service from the Dispensary and Pharmacy Stores.
• Deliver medicines to wards and departments using manual and electric trolleys as part of the ward delivery service.
• Assemble orders of medicinal products for use across the Trust.
• Liaise with ward staff, Pharmacists and Technicians regarding stock issues and temporary alternatives.
