Job summary
Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in East Grinstead is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated pharmacy team. You will support clinical pharmacists with wards, inpatient/outpatient dispensing, stock control and discharge prescriptions.
Developing staff, training, and ensuring safe medicines supply are key parts of the role. We offer funding for ACCP course, flexible working options and a supportive environment within a renowned NHS hospital.
Qualifications
- GPhC registered pharmacy technician or soon to be registered.
- BTEC or NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical science (or equivalent) or able to demonstrate knowledge through practical experience.
- Medicines management accreditations.
- Final Accuracy checking accreditation.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications for in-patients and out-patients; manage stock and prepare discharge prescriptions.
- Work on ward and dispensary; assist with medicines reconciliation.
- Provide training and supervision to support staff; contribute to smooth running of the dispensary.
- Provide emergency drug boxes within the trust.
