Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a split Pharmacy Assistant to support both the Dispensary and Digital Medicines teams. You will supply medicines across hospital sites, resolve queries, provide EPMA support and help train multidisciplinary staff.

The role requires cross-site working and participation in weekend, bank holiday and late-night rotas, with opportunities to develop digital health skills alongside hospital pharmacy practice.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths, English and Science at grade 4 (C) or above.
• Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience in stock control and customer service.
• Ability to train other staff.

Responsibilities

• Supply medicines across the trust's hospital sites with the pharmacy team.
• Resolve queries about medicines supply.
• Provide EPMA support to staff.
• Deliver teaching and training to multidisciplinary staff across the trust.
• Assist the Digital Medicines team with digital systems work.
• Support Digital Health initiatives and help shape them.
• Work across both the Dispensary and Digital Medicines teams.
• Work across sites, including the new trust sites when service demands require.
• Take part in weekend, bank holiday and late-night rotas.
