SpaMedica, the UK’s largest NHS cataract surgery provider, is seeking a Hospital Optometrist to join our Exeter team. You will perform pre- and post-operative assessments for cataract patients, participate in the on-call and weekend rota, and support YAG laser referrals.

Full training and senior support are provided, with development options across Medical Retina and Glaucoma. The role requires current GOC registration and a passion for learning.

Qualificações

• A qualified optometrist with current GOC registration.
• Previous hospital optometry experience is a plus, but not essential – we provide full training!

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre- and post-operative assessments for cataract surgery patients.
• Conduct pre-op assessments for YAG laser referrals.
• Obtain informed consent in a professional and ethical manner.
• Participate in the on-call and weekend rota as needed.
• Ensure the clinical area is ready with equipment checked before and after clinics.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in day-to-day clinic operations.
