Job summary

SpaMedica in the UK is seeking a Hospital Optometrist to join our team, supporting cataract services across clinics in East Anglia. You will perform pre- and post-operative assessments for cataract surgery patients and assist with YAG laser capsulotomy referrals, while maintaining high patient care standards.

Full training is provided, with senior optometrists available for support. On-call and weekend rota responsibilities apply, with a focus on development in ocular disease and potential

Qualifications

• Qualified optometrist with current GOC registration.
• Hospital optometry experience is a plus but not essential – full training provided.
• Commitment to patient care and teamwork within a multi-disciplinary clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operative assessments for cataract patients.
• Conduct pre-op assessments for YAG laser capsulotomy referrals.
• Obtain informed consent in a professional and ethical manner.
• Participate in on-call and weekend rota as needed.
