Job summary

Equans is seeking an M&E Operative to join our team at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford on a permanent basis. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will work alone or in a team to maintain and repair M&E services across the site, ensuring safe operation and timely response to breakdowns. DBS check required; training will be provided for HVAC, electrical, and piped medical gas systems.

Qualifications

• Building/Trade background is required.
• Maintenance experience is required.
• Facilities Management experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair M&E services plant and equipment across the site.
• Carry out refurbishment and new works as needed.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of M&E systems (planned and reactive).
• Perform emergency lighting inspections and repairs/testing.
• Undertake weekly fire alarm testing and basic repairs (toilets, lighting, walls).
• Respond promptly to plant breakdowns and attend training for HVAC/electrical/piped medical gas systems.
