University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Material Movement Operative to join the Logistics and Supply Chain Team. You will support the timely movement of goods, waste, and supplies across multiple sites, and adapt to different roles within the department as required.

Duties include waste handling, delivery of linen, food items, and pharmacy/chemotherapy supplies; operating a 3.5-tonne vehicle; booking deliveries; and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Formación

• Good General Education to GCSE or equivalent level.
• Willingness to undertake training and become competent in fire warden training.
• Driving license.
• Experience in a Hospital or similar environment.
• Previous experience in a Logistics environment.

Responsabilidades

• Collect, handle, and manage waste materials from clinical areas following safety procedures.
• Transport and manage clean and contaminated theatre instruments with hygiene controls.
• Deliver stock, linen, food items, and post to departments using equipment and pallets.
• Ensure timely delivery of pharmacy and chemotherapy supplies to wards.
• Operate a 3.5-tonne vehicle safely and follow road safety regulations.
• Receipt, check, and record incoming deliveries with stock control and timely distribution.
