Job summary

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Receipt & Distribution Operative in the Procurement service. The post involves receiving stock, delivering and unpacking supplies for non-clinical areas, and ensuring stock rotation and accurate deliveries.

You will work within a multi-professional team to support high-quality patient care and will help maintain stock control across wards and departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of stock handling procedures and safety guidelines.
• Familiarity with barcoding and scanning systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive stock deliveries and check against delivery notes.
• Unpack, store, and rotate stock across wards and departments.
• Ensure deliveries match requisitions and sort out discrepancies.
• Transport supplies safely within the Trust, using appropriate equipment.
• Record and report discrepancies to the Help Desk and site manager.
• Follow health and safety/manual handling rules for moving heavy items.
