Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a dedicated team within our Hospital Services division in Frimley. You will supervise housekeeping staff, coordinate ward cleaning schedules, and ensure compliance with NHS infection prevention and control standards to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of housekeeping staff.
• Strong knowledge of infection control standards and NHS cleaning protocols.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Allocate housekeeping staff across wards and departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Deliver and manage accredited training programmes, including Train the Trainer and Assessor responsibilities.
• Support staff development through induction, ongoing training, appraisals and refresher courses.
• Provide feedback through verbal and written reports after cleanliness and quality audits.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and managers to ensure quality assurance across services.
• Support the Housekeeping Manager with service delivery and resource management.
• Contribute to staff rotas and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
