Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a dedicated Domestic Assistant (Zero Hours) to support hospital cleaning and infection control. The role is casual, contracted to 0 hours per week, with DBS check required before employment.

You will work to a high standard of cleanliness across wards and public areas, contributing to patient care and hospital safety. Role emphasises teamwork, flexibility and a caring approach to patients and staff, with opportunities to learn and progress

Qualifications

• DBS check is required for this position.
• This is a zero-hours weekly contract.
• Hospital cleaning experience is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
• Maintain hygiene standards and safety per policies.
• Operate cleaning equipment following Health & Safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
