Job summary

The Royal Oldham Hospital in Oldham is seeking a Domestic Assistant to keep wards, offices and public areas clean to a high standard. This role is part-time, 20 hours per week, with a pro rata salary of £25,272 per annum.

You will join a supportive domestic services team and help maintain infection prevention standards, contributing to a safe and pleasant patient environment with development opportunities under Agenda for Change.

Qualifications

• Level 1 functional skills in English and Maths.
• Ability to demonstrate basic computer literacy.
• NVQ Level 1 in cleaning or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning patients' or service users' rooms and wards.
• Cleaning toilets and bathroom areas.
• Cleaning communal areas such as lounges, dining areas and corridors.
• Cleaning a utility room and carrying out deep-cleaning operations.
• Using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
• Adhering to infection prevention and safety procedures.
