Job summary

Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) is seeking a proactive Domestic Assistant to join the Domestic Services Team at the University Hospital of North Durham. You will help maintain a clean, welcoming environment across a 24/7 rota for patients, staff and visitors.

Experience in healthcare cleaning is preferred, but full training will be provided. You will work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Support Services, with a 6-month probation and a requirement to be flexible and professional at all

Qualifications

• Experience as a domestic/housekeeper is desirable.
• Healthcare environment cleaning experience preferred, with training provided.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Support Services.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and related duties following set procedures and standards.
• Work as part of a team and prioritise daily duties with professionalism.
• Maintain departmental cleaning hygiene and effective communication with staff and patients.
• Be flexible to service needs and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Carry out specialist cleaning (HPV) as instructed by supervisor or manager.
• Attend relevant training courses and manage stock of cleaning products.
